OUR JOURNEY
AUGUST 2022
During COVID-19, our founder Rhea realized how severely Indian artisans were impacted. To give back, she started a small college project, reaching out to artisans to curate products.
SEPTEMBER 2022
Thatched Roof began humbly in Rhea’s living room, where every design & photo shoot came to life in her small yet creative space.
OCTOBER 2022
Our very first collection featured just 7 products, supported 2 artisans, and completely sold out.
JANUARY 2023
We received our first big corporate order and realized Thatched Roof could be bigger than we ever imagined.
MARCH 2023
Collaborating with more artisans, we expanded our range, customized designs, and worked harder to bring you only the best quality products and most unique designs.
AUGUST 2023
As our Thatched Roof family grew, so did our bond with our artisans, and together we sold out again—but this time with hundreds of you supporting us.
AUGUST 2024
Today, we’ve opened the doors to our first studio in Khar, Mumbai. By appointment only, this space offers a personalized shopping experience.
MAY 2025
We launched our website, creating an online home for our nationwide community to explore the world of Thatched Roof.
